How Arbitrica Works

From Chrome extension to savings in your pocket. Two flows, one goal: the lowest hotel price on Earth.

The Pre-Checkout Flow

You are on a hotel booking page and about to click "Pay." Arbitrica's Chrome extension detects the checkout page in real time and instantly searches the same hotel across 200 countries. Within seconds, a notification appears showing you whether a cheaper rate exists from another region. If it does, Arbitrica opens the lower-priced booking so you can complete checkout there instead. You save before you ever pay.

Step 1: Install the Chrome Extension

A single install adds Arbitrica to your browser. No accounts to create, no configuration needed. The extension runs silently in the background and activates only on hotel booking sites.

Step 2: Arbitrica Detects Checkout

When you reach a checkout page on Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, Agoda, or any major OTA, the extension recognizes the hotel, dates, and room type. It reads the page structure to extract pricing data without interfering with your session.

Step 3: 200-Country Price Search

Arbitrica's backend fires simultaneous price lookups from 200 geographic regions. Hotels display different prices depending on the booker's apparent location, currency, and regional promotions. Our system checks every region in parallel and ranks results by total cost.

Step 4: You Choose the Best Price

A panel shows the best rates found, how much you would save, and which region offers the lowest price. Click the link to complete your booking at the reduced rate. The entire process takes under 30 seconds.

The Post-Booking Flow

Already booked? Arbitrica works just as well after payment. This flow targets bookings made with free cancellation policies, which account for over 70% of hotel reservations on major platforms.

Step 1: Booking Detection

The extension detects confirmation pages and booking confirmation emails. It extracts the hotel name, dates, room type, and price you paid.

Step 2: Continuous Price Monitoring

From the moment of booking until check-in, Arbitrica monitors the same hotel across all 200 regions. Prices change daily based on demand, cancellations, competitor rate adjustments, and seasonal shifts.

Step 3: Validation and Rebooking Preparation

When a lower rate surfaces, the system validates that the new booking matches your original: same room category, same dates, same cancellation flexibility. It calculates net savings after any currency conversion or fee differences.

Step 4: Review and Save

You receive a notification with the savings amount and a one-click rebook option. Approve it, and Arbitrica handles the cancellation of the old booking and confirmation of the new one. Average savings range from 10% to 60% of the original price.
