Before it shows you a result, the agent confirms the details that matter: for a hotel the hotel name, dates, guests, room type, cancellation terms and breakfast; for a product the exact item; for tickets the event, section, row and quantity. It also checks that the price includes all taxes and fees (and delivery, for products) and that it will not suddenly change when you pay.

The mechanism Arbitrica developed keeps searching the same item from 195 countries at many points in time after the purchase, until the cancellation or return window ends. When the identical item becomes cheaper, with all taxes and fees included, it prepares a new booking or purchase at the lower price. The new booking is confirmed first, and only then is the original cancelled.
