Trivago Price Tracker

Trivago lists prices from your own country. Arbitrica searches the same hotel from 195 countries and finds the lowest price on Earth.

How Trivago Prices Work

Trivago is a hotel metasearch engine listing around 5 million hotels and other accommodations. Like Kayak and Google Hotels, it does not take bookings: it lists offers from booking sites and sends you to the seller to pay.

Different countries get access to different inventory, sales channels, local rates and promotions. Searching the same hotel from another country can open up prices you cannot get from your own country, from any of the sellers Trivago lists or from one it does not show. For the same item, the gap is often 5-30%.

Prices also move over time. Hotel rates follow demand, so the rate you booked can drop days or weeks later while your reservation is still inside its free-cancellation window.

Why You Need a Trivago Price Tracker

Trivago puts many sellers side by side, but every offer it shows is the one you get from your own country. That is one country out of 195. To see the rest you would have to connect a VPN to each country in turn, search again, convert the currency and check that taxes and fees match. Doing that for all 195 countries by hand is impossible in practice.

A manual check from your own country misses:

How Arbitrica Tracks Trivago Prices

At checkout: live arbitrage

Trivago does not take the booking itself. When you pick an offer and click through, you land on the checkout of a booking site or the hotel's own website. That is where Arbitrica, a personal AI agent that lives in your browser, shows up: just before you pay, it searches the same hotel for the same dates from 195 countries and finds the lowest price on Earth for it, no matter who sells it.

Before showing you a lower price, Arbitrica validates that it is for the identical hotel, that it includes all taxes and fees, and that it will not suddenly change. It then prepares the booking automatically, so you only review and pay.

After you book: multiple-time arbitrage

Arbitrica's approach repeats the search after you book, at many points in time, until the cancellation window on your reservation ends. When the same hotel becomes available for less, the mechanism Arbitrica developed prepares a re-booking at the lower price for you to review. The new booking is confirmed before the original is cancelled.

In one real booking, a hotel was offered on Booking.com for $1,527.39. Arbitrica found the identical hotel for $1,180.27 and earned the user $347.12, or 23%. Research showed that people earn on average $47 per hotel booking with Arbitrica, and up to $3,000 a year.

What Trivago shows you, and what it does not

Trivago lists the offers sellers give you from your own country. A hotel that looks cheapest on Trivago can still cost less when searched from another country, sometimes from a seller that is not in the list at all.

Trivago's job ends when you click through. It does not follow your reservation after you book, so it cannot tell you when the same hotel drops in price before your free-cancellation deadline.

The Same Approach Beyond Hotels

None of this is limited to hotels. Searching the same item from 195 countries and repeating the search over time also works for online shopping such as Amazon purchases, event tickets, flights, car rentals and subscriptions: anything priced differently from one country to another, or sold with a cancellation or return window. It works for individual travelers and for companies too, from teams traveling to trade shows and conferences to operations managers and travel managers.

Every hotel on Trivago has a lowest price somewhere in the world. Arbitrica finds it and earns you the difference.
