How Agoda Prices Work
Agoda is a Booking Holdings company and one of the largest hotel booking platforms in Asia, with access to around 3.6 million properties worldwide. It is especially strong for hotels in Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region, where many local rates and promotions are tied to specific markets.
Different countries get access to different inventory, sales channels, local rates and promotions. Searching the same hotel from another country can open up prices you cannot get from your own country, on Agoda itself or from another seller of the identical hotel. For the same item, the gap is often 5-30%.
Prices also move over time. Hotel rates follow demand, so the rate you booked can drop days or weeks later while your reservation is still inside its free-cancellation window.
Why You Need an Agoda Price Tracker

What to check on Agoda before you pay
Depending on your settings, Agoda can show nightly prices before taxes and fees, so the number on the search page is often lower than the total at checkout. Judge a deal by the final total, not the nightly rate.
Many Agoda rates are nonrefundable. A rate with free cancellation costs a little more up front, but it keeps the cancellation window open, and that window is what lets a later search for the same hotel earn you money after you book.
